Entertaining the Cotswolds for over 30 years

Stratton Drama Group was started by Malcolm and Ann Edis way back in 1983. Originally performances took place at Stratton School but we moved to our current residence at St Peter’s Hall in 1990.

Malcolm and Ann retired in 2005 and following a re-organisation we have managed to continue their work and to provide an evening of great entertainment twice a year.

We have performed various types of plays from farce to horror including Murder at the Vicarage, Ghost Train, And then There Were None and Arsenic and Old Lace to name a few.

Working together as a team along with friends and family members we all rally together to build the set, source costumes, find props and on performance nights it’s all hands on deck.

We are forever on the look out for new members, young and old, whether you want a main role, a walk on part, or a backstage role we would be glad to welcome you.

“The theatre is the only institution in the world which has been dying for four thousand years and has never succombed. It requires  tough and devoted people to keep it alive.”- John Steinbeck
